Abstract

"MéTODO PARA EXTRAçãO DE COBRE DE UMA SOLUçãO AQUOSA". A presente invenção se refere a um método para extração de cobre de soluções aquosas com um alto teor de sulfato, em um procedimento de extração por solvente na fase líquido-líquido, mediante elevação da viscosidade da solução de extração e mediante dispersão da solução aquosa em gotas, obtendo-se uma densa agregação de gotas. A viscosidade da solução de extração pode ser elevada pelo aumento do teor do agente extrator, do reagente de extração ou pelo uso de um agente de diluição normalmente usado. Ao elevar a viscosidade da solução de extração, a durabilidade da mistura da dispersão de extração pode ser aumentada e como resultado, a quantidade de gotas residuais diminui. Outras vantagens da invenção incluem a diminuição do fluxo da solução de extração do processo de extração em relação ao fluxo da solução aquosa que atua como fonte de cobre e a diminuição do tamanho do equipamento de extração.
