Abstract

Patente de Invenção: <B>"MéTODO PARA TRATAMENTO DA ESCóRIA RESULTANTE DO REFINO DE AçO INOXIDáVEL"<D>. A presente invenção fornece um método para o tratamento da escória resultante do refino de aço inoxidável, que compreende o ajuste da escória em um estado fundido formada em uma etapa do refino do aço inoxidável de tal forma que a escória tenha uma basicidade na faixa de 1,3-4,0, e misturando-se a escória com um material contendo enxofre onde o enxofre tenha valência zero ou negativa, ajustando assim a concentração de enxofre na escória para que não seja de menos de 0,2% em peso. De acordo com a invenção, a escória é modificada de forma que seja substancial e completamente evitado que o Cr^ 6+^ saia, e a escória possa ser eficazmente utilizada como material de leito de estrada e como material de recuperação para trabalhos de engenharia civil. Em particular, neste método, a escória é apagada a uma velocidade tal de resfriamento que a temperatura da escória seja reduzida de 1200°C para 400° num período de 48 horas de forma que os efeitos notáveis são alcançados.
