Abstract

"DISPOSITIVO DE VEDAçãO PARA A PASSAGEM DE UM CABO ENTRE DOIS VOLUMES A PRESSõES DIFERENTES". Dispositivo de vedação para a passagem de um cabo entre dois volumes a pressões diferentes, particularmente para a introdução de um cabo submarino sujeito a tensões dinâmicas para o interior de um volume que se encontra a uma pressão menor que a pressão da água circundante, compreendendo uma gaxeta com pelo menos um elemento de vedação na forma de um corpo anular feito de um elastómero, comprimido no sentido axial em uma caixa com a finalidade do mesmo ser fixado radialmente para dentro de encontro à cobertura do cabo e para fora de encontro à caixa. O corpo anular (6) do elemento de vedação mais próximo do volume com alta pressão é prolongado, juntamente com o seu diâmetro interno, na direção do mencionado volume por uma luva (19) a qual, da maneira de um punho, circunda e agarra a cobertura do cabo da parte interna da caixa (2) da gaxeta diretamente para dentro do volume com alta pressão. De preferência a mencionada luva (19) possui, pelo menos na sua extremidade livre, no estado não tensionado, um diâmetro interno menor que o diâmetro externo da cobertura (3) do cabo.
