Abstract
The torch is used in the welding/soldering production, in particular in automated systems for metal welding and surface strengthening. It ensures automatic feeding for and fixation of the infusible electrode before the start of the process. Its design is light and compact. The torch contains a water cooled compartment (1), to which a water cooled nozzle (4) is affixed by means of an insulation sleeve (5). The water cooled compartment (1) has argon-supplying grooves, while its upper part contains flexible pipes for water and argon. Coaxially to the water-cooled nozzle (4), there is an infusible electrode (6), clasped with a collet (7). A pressing spring (8), aided by a nut, is stretched between the water cooled compartment (1) and the collet (7). The upper edge of the collet (7) ends in a pusher (10), which is connected with an anchor (12) of an electromagnet (11). The electromagnet (11) is located in the top part of the torch and is statically affixed to the water cooled compartment (1), to whose external cylindrical surface a metallic current-conductive ring (13) is connected to the cable, supplying electricity to the torch.
