Abstract
The variety may be grown in steel-glasshouses and in polyethylene houses all year long. "Devora" is a heterosis variety of female type. The plants are vital, with good reproductive capacity, while the stem is undeterminable. It forms usually one and rarely two female flowers on a fruit-carrying node. The fruits are with elongated cylindrical shapes that are between 36.0 and 37.6 cm long, with well-formed neck, from 2.0 to 3.5 cm long. The surface of the fruit is almost smooth; the crust colour is dark green, while the average weight of the fruit is between 450 to 460 g. The vegetative period - between burgeoning to mass flowering is 43 days, while until technical maturity - 66 days.
