The hybridoma cell line is applicable for typification of human blood. It carries and expresses the characteristics of the initial cells, divides like cancer cells, and secretes a monoclonal antibody that recognises the human surface-cell erythrocyte blood group antigen B. It is prepared through hybridisation of antibody-producing mouse splenocites from line BALB/c and cells from mouse myeloma line Sp 2/0 Ag 14.
