Abstract
The inhibitor is applied as an additive to solutions for swooning of ferrous metals. It has a high inhibitory effect (of up to 97%) at low concentrations and stability at continuous exploitation and higher temperatures. The inhibitor is composed of 5,7-dichloride-8-oxyhinaldine hydrochloride and is used in concentrations of between 0.05 to 0.5%.
