Хранителният продукт е с високо енергийно съдържание на една консумативна единица и се състои основно от мляко с 15% тегл. масленост, захар и системаза сгъстяване на основата на нишесте и гелобразуващи вещества, благодарение на която продуктът придобива пастообразна структура с вискозитет най-малко 3 Pas при 100С. Възможно е прибавянето на какао на прах, плодов пулп и ароматизатори. За предпочитане е продуктът да е многослоен, като отделните слоеве са с различни цветове и/или вкусове.
