Abstract

The plastic vessel has improved rigidity. The vessels can be arranged one on top of the other and be transported in palettes without damaging the cover edges. Cover (2) has internal surface (14) which in its fixed condition is found under the upper edge (3) of the plastic vessel (1). The inner side of cover (15) engages the internal surface (4) and is supplied with a circumference thickened groove (16) having multiple inner-orientated ractangular projections (17) which connect the inner surface (14) to the inner side of cover (15). The outer section (6) of cover (2) surrounding the wall (4) of the plastic vessel (1) have a sliding outward-orientated chamfering (10) which continues as an approximately vertically positioned part (11) with a greater distance to wall (4) of the vessel which ends close to the surrounding edge (8).
