Abstract

The invention relates to a device and a method for taking and initially preparing tissue, blood or other samples with cells or cell components containing a core or DNA for molecular genetic tests. The device includes a sample container (1) and a sample obtaining means (4) which after obtaining the sample is introduced in the container (1) and is closed in an airtight manner. The container (1) has a bottom (2) and side walls (3) and is closed with a lid that can be easily perforated. Container (1) in the sector of its side walls distant from the bottom (2) has a means for fixing (5) the inserted means for obtaining the sample where in container (1) means are provided for the protection from enzymes having a catabolic effect on the DNA. The device for obtaining the sample (4) is executed in a manner that after introduction in the container (1) it is fixed in a stable manner with the receiving container by a means of fixation (5) and divides the container into at least one sample chamber (6, 6a) which is delimited by the bottom (2) and the side walls (3) of container (1) and the front end (7) of the sample obtaining means (4). 21 claims, 4 figures
