Abstract
Le procédé consiste à diriger un jet de fluide fortement concentré, dans lequel les particules abrasives sont aspirées, au moyen d'un appareil (14) vers la surface d'une feuille de verre (S). Pour la pénétration initiale dans le verre, la source de pression est maintenue à un premier niveau relativement bas, ce qui évite la rupture ou l'écaillage du verre. La pression est ensuite relevée notablement afin que la vitesse de découpe puisse etre augmentée tout en produisant des aretes de coupe de haute qualité.
