Abstract

The cupboard lamp uses a battery powered lamp with a push button switch, actuated by the movement of the door, to turn the lamp on or off. The lamp is housed in a cuboid enclosure which is conveniently mounted along a side wall of the cupboard in a top corner on the side wall carrying the door hinges. - The push pubutton switch is at one end. A battery chamber lies behind the switch, and an incandescent lamp is mounted behind the batteries. A clip-on cover is shaped to provide a flat cover over the batteries and has three translucent sides over the lamp.
