Abstract

The cutting tool opens a carton of milk or fruit juice e.g., using a slot or a triangular window which houses or fits onto the carton at the point where an opening is required and drawn across the carton to form the opening. The slot and the window may be used in combination, a blade or other cutter being provided together with a hand grip. The blade and the body may be in the same or different material, the window may be extended by a slit through which the carton can be withdrawn. The blade may be sited in the head of the window or slot. Having made the cut the tool may remain in place on the carton, using a slit to hold the sides of the opening together and maintain a seal.

L'objet de la présente invention est un instrument simple et efficace, non dangereux.

  
Cet instrument consiste en un gabarit qui se glisse sur l'emplacement à découper.

  
L'instrument comporte une glissière de forme
- allongée (fig. 1)
- triangulaire (fig. 2)
- ou combinée selon les fige 1 et 2 : (fig. 3 ) .

  
Dans chacun des cas
- fig. 1, 2, 3, 4 et 7 -, l'extrémité D de la glissière est aiguisée et coupante vers l'intérieur.

  
Dans les fig. 5, 6, 8, 9 et 10, une lame coupante est placée en D', entre deux éléments planes qui compriment la lame ou un élément qui la surmoule.

  
Cette même extrémité D ou toute autre partie de l'instrument peut comporter un moyen de tenir fermée la découpe fait dans la boite par serrage ou pincement - fig. 7, 8, 9 et 10, en F. De préférence, elle sera double ou en forme de pince, ou sous forme de tout autre moyen adéquat à cet effet (voir fig. 7, 8, 9 et 10).

  
En tirant sur l'extrémité F de l'instrument, l'élément coupant
(D ou D') coupe dans le carton de la boite et y pratique une ouverture nette, tout giclement étant évité.

  
Cette extrémité F peut comporter un renflement, un repli, un trou, ou tout autre moyen qui permette de la tirer fermement.

  
Sur les fig. 5, 6, 8, 9 et 10, la lame apparait.dans la tranchée T, qui permet le dégagement du carton coupé.

The object of the present invention is a simple and effective, non-dangerous instrument.

  
This instrument consists of a template which slides over the location to be cut.

  
The instrument has a shaped slide
- elongated (fig. 1)
- triangular (fig. 2)
- or combined according to figs 1 and 2: (fig. 3).

  
In each case
- fig. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 7 -, the end D of the slide is sharp and cutting inwards.

  
In fig. 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10, a cutting blade is placed in D ', between two planar elements which compress the blade or an element which overmoulds it.

  
This same end D or any other part of the instrument may include a means of keeping closed the cut made in the box by clamping or pinching - fig. 7, 8, 9 and 10, in F. Preferably, it will be double or in the form of a clamp, or in the form of any other suitable means for this purpose (see fig. 7, 8, 9 and 10).

  
By pulling on the end F of the instrument, the cutting element
(D or D ') cut into the cardboard box and make a clean opening in it, all spurting being avoided.

  
This end F may include a bulge, a fold, a hole, or any other means which allows it to be pulled firmly.

  
In fig. 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10, the blade appears in the trench T, which allows the release of the cut cardboard.

CLAIMS

  
1) Can opener for opening cardboard boxes

  
of the "Tetra Brik" type, which may contain, among other things, milk, fruit juice, etc.

Claims

2) Instrument according to claim n [deg.] 1 and comprising

a groove of determined length, to be fitted on the location to be cut in the box.

3) Instrument according to claim n [deg.] 1, comprising

a triangular cutout, at the location

to cut in the box.

4) Instrument according to claim n [deg.] 1, comprising

a cut in the shape of a triangle surmounted by a groove, to fit on the location to be cut in the box.

5) Instrument according to claims 1 and 2, or 3, 4,

wherein the upper end of the form to be fitted is or is provided with a blade fixed in the plane of this form.

6) Means according to claims 1 and 2, 3 or 4, plus 5,

in which the instrument is made of a material of which a part is cutting.

7) Means according to claims 1 and 2, 3 or 4, plus 5,

in which the instrument, made of any material, contains a cutting element.

8) Means according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7,

with means for holding the instrument in hand for easy pulling.

9) Means according to claims 1 and 2, 3 or 4, plus 5

and 7, in any material, a clearance trench beyond the blade, for the cut cardboard.

10) Means according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,

9, allowing the instrument to be blocked on the cut-out location of the box, so as to prevent the liquid from leaving and to avoid leaving it in the air.

11) Means according to claims 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8,

9, 10, consisting of a slot, a baffle, or any other means making it possible to close and block the opening made in the box.
