Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

   It is known to give the paper, by a special treatment, a creped surface. Such paper is generally known as "crepe paper". It is employed as a wrapping material, etc. For various purposes, for which the special properties of crepe paper are desired, the non-transparency of the material is considered to be a disadvantage.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

  The object of the present invention is a colored or uncolored cellulose glass sheet having creped surfaces. This sheet has the advantages of crepe paper, such as good appearance, stretching power and full feel.

  But it is more transparent and much more resistant, so that it is particularly suitable for packaging and above all for those where the packed material must remain visible, such as for example for colored goods or for objects bearing a inscription and / or a template.

   Lacquered cellulosic glass sheets are particularly suitable for the manufacture of creped surfaces.

  Cellulosic glass sheets with lacquered coating are generally used for the packaging of goods which must be protected against humidity or substances which are wet by themselves. The lacquered cellulosic glass sheets according to the present invention therefore have over crepe paper, in addition to the advantages mentioned above, also this special advantage of protection against humidity. The creping of lacquered sheets is not destroyed by the action of humidity.

   The sheet according to the invention can be produced like crepe paper by known methods. Cellulosic glass sheets of any thickness depending on the intended purpose of use can be used for this as a raw material. The creping can also be done in any desired thickness.

   A special effect can be obtained when using colored cellulosic glass for the manufacture of the new sheets.

Claims (1)

The use of the sheets according to the invention is not limited to packaging applications, but because of its crp nature and its strength, it can be used in other fields, for example as cable wrapping, for decorations, hat trimming, etc., CLAIMS OR SUMMARY. 1. 1. Transparent sheet of uncolored or colored cellulosic glass, characterized by a crimped surface. 2. 2. Transparent sheet according to claim 1, characterized in that it consists of lacquered cellulosic glass.
