Abstract

1. Bucket for vertical elevator comprising a rear wall (1) designed to be attached to the endless driving member of the elevator, a front face (2, 9), forming the bottom of the bucket by joining up with the rear face (1) and two side faces, wherein the profile of any common cross section of the bucket perpendicular to its rear face is such that a portion (2) of said face forming the bottom of the bucket is constituted by a circular arc, the center of which is located on a straight line (3) forming an angle (A) of 15 to 25 degrees with the rear face (1), characterized in that said portion (2) is the main portion of said front face (2, 9) and in that said circular arc is of angular length (B + C) at least equal to 50 degrees, of which 25 degrees at the most arc situated between said straight line (3) and said rear face (1) and of which 25 degrees at least are situated on the other side of said straight line (3).
