Abstract

The flat, plug-in protection assembly can be fitted with overvoltage suppressors (3) which have wire-shaped connecting legs (4) that project transversely. The protection assembly is provided with contact parts (7) which extend out from the overvoltage suppressors (3) towards plug contacts (6) on the front side. The contact parts (7) are bent up in the region of the connecting legs (4) at right angles to a base (8) of the protection assembly, and are constructed as contact terminals (9) into whose terminal slot (12) the connecting legs (4) can be pressed. Such contacted overvoltage suppressors (3) can be inserted and replaced easily. <IMAGE>
