Abstract

A system of devices (102) for positioning data processing or similar apparatus (101) comprises various assemblies (34, 36, 38, 38') of type (A) linked by knuckle joints which pivot around vertical axes on the one hand to an assembly (1, 1' 1'') for receiving the apparatus and on the other hand to a securing (weight-carrier) assembly (16, 18, 19, 21, 25, 26, 30, 31). The system of devices is flexible in view of the fact that the links are formed by uniform first and second linking elements (3, 15), preferably having a complementary, cylindrical shape. Within type (A), various assemblies cater for the need for various degrees of freedom of the device (102, 103, 104), such as a horizontal swinging arm (34), a swinging arm (36) with adjustable height, a vertical beam (38), a vertical beam (38') the height of which can be fixed. By combining in an appropiate way these assemblies, the most diverse possibilities of installation covering greater degrees of mobility are obtained, the assemblies of type (A) being used as complementary elements between the assemblies for receiving the apparatus and the securing assemblies.
