The invention relates to a partition for a shower or bathtub. Said partition consists of a partition wall (5), especially a glass wall, whose vertical edge (14) can be linked for operation with a wall of the room (4) where the shower or bathtub is located. The vertical edge (14) is accommodated by a recess (9) in the wall of the room (4).
