Abstract

Composite building element (1) for partitions (30) consisting of a plastic frame (3) which encloses, at the periphery of said element, at least one part of the side of a central panel (21, 22) and is made of a material which can be breakable. Said frame includes means for locking the contiguous elements (1) and is made of a plastic material having a Shore hardness which imparts sufficient compressive strength to guarantee constant dimensions of the partition (30) composed of such elements (1). According to the invention, said plastic material has sufficient elasticity to absorb the possible stresses exerted by the structural work into which the panel (30) is mounted and preserve the integrity of the panel (21, 22). Preferably, said building element (1) consists of at least two panels (21, 22), such as two glass shells, joined to one another with the plastic frame (3) interposed therebetween, on either side of which rest the edges (31) of each of the panels (21, 22) forming with said frame (3) an inner space (24).
