Abstract

A device for hooking a sail (5) to the top of the mast (3) of a sailboat enabling said sail (5) to be tightened, characterised in that the inventive device comprises a fixed part (1), a moveable part (2) which is adapted in such a way that it can be fixed in a corner of the sail which is to be hoisted (5), a halyard (6) which is fixed to the moveable part (2) so that said moveable part (2) can be hoisted towards the fixed part (1), whereby said device comprises two supporting means which can be reversed in said movable part (2) by the fixed part (1), thereby determining two positions which are offset in relation to the maintenance of the moveable part (2) with respect to the fixed part and which are adapted in such a way that they can bear a maximum longitudinal strain having different predetermined values, in addition to comprising means for moving from one maintenance position to another by acting upon the halyard (6) or the sail (5) attached to the moveable part.
