Abstract

1. A method of casing packs or cartons or the like goods, the carton (10) having placed around it a peripheral wall of corrugated board, cardboard or the like extending substantially around its entire vertical peripheral surfaces, a case being place below the carton, the carton (10) first having placed around it a first peripheral wall (12) open at the top and the bottom and engaging tightly around at least some of its substantially vertical lateral surfaces, characterized in that a second peripheral wall (24) is engaged tightly around some of the first peripheral wall (12), the peripheral wall (24) engaging only around the bottom edge portion of the vertical lateral surfaces of the pack and taking the from of a peripheral upright edge of a tray -shaped base member (20).
