Abstract

A system carrier (10) for receiving at least one GN container and/or electrical appliance (28), comprising a housing which is open at the top (16) and provided with two side walls (18, 20), a rear wall (22) and a base. A plug and socket outlet (40) is arranged in the system carrier (10) in an easily accessible position. The plug and socket outlet (40) can be connected to an electrical installation (36, 42) which in turn can be connected a power supply network (28) to provide the electrical appliance (28) with electricity. A socket outlet (42) is provided as a plug and socket outlet (40), whereby an electrical appliance (28) is plugged into said socket outlet (42). The socket outlet (42) is arranged in a recess (46) on the inside of the side wall (20) close to an access opening (31) of the system carrier on the side of the user, facing said opening.The electrical installation (36,42) includes a connecting line (36) for the socket outlet whereby said line is placed on the outside of the side wall (20) and guided through a duct underneath the system carrier (10). It has a plug or terminals on the end thereof for connection to the power supply network or to the electrical installation of a similar, adjacent system carrier (12). Similar system carriers (10,12) can be provided with an individual or common connecting line for connection to the power supply network.
