Abstract

1. A binder for aqueous anticorrosive paints based on poly(meth)acrylate latices and water-soluble zinc complex salts, which consists essentially of A) from 99 to 85% by weight of an aqueous dispersion of an alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer having a mean film-forming temperature of from + 15 to + 50 degrees C, and B) from 1 to 15% by weight of an aqueous solution of a zinc complex salt of a polymeric polycarboxylic acid, the percentages being based on the total amount of components A) and B) in the polymer, and the copolymer of component A) having a mean particle diameter of from 0.01 to 0.5 mu m.
