Abstract

Newness and distinctiveness is claimed in the features of shape and/or configuration of the following elements of a flared lid closure illustrated in the accompanying representations: a lid which has a side wall curving radially inwardly from the top portion of the lid to the bottom of the lid; a base which includes a cylindrical bottom portion having vertical ribs and grooves and an upper portion that is located above the bottom portion and that tapers radially inwardly with increasing distance from the bottom portion; and a recessed region defined at the front of the closure (opposite the hinge) by the lid and base.
