Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining traffic information within a traffic network in at least one control centre (3). Said method comprises at least one mobile detector, in particular a vehicle, equipped with a terminal (1) which has at least one position determination device (2), a data processing device (6) and a device (5) for exchanging data with the control centre (3) and which transmits at least data relating to its location to the control centre (3). The invention also relates to an appropriate control centre (3) and a terminal (1) in a mobile detector. According to the invention, data relating to the network of routes used, which is transmitted from a control centre (3), using a communication method by which the data is transmitted to a number of non-defined subscribers, can be and/or is received by the mobile detector(s). The data is only received in a passive manner in the mobile detector.
