Abstract

Described is a device for removing hair from the human body, the device having a housing designed to be held in the user's hand, at least one preferably motor-driven rotating cylinder with hair-gripping elements and at least one device (V) for actuating the hair-gripping elements. The rotating cylinder (17) is made up of at least two segments (27, 28) which have hair-gripping elements (19, 19', ...20, 20') and which preferably extend essentially parallel to the axis (38) of the cylinder (17). The segments (27, 28) are preferably disposed so that the hair-gripping elements (19, 19', ...20, 20',...) on each segment mesh at least partly with each other.
