Abstract
Abstract The gear housing is split into two chambers to provide reliable oil sump lubrication. The exciter will be driven by two external electric motors and because of the counter rotation the counterweights will self-synchronise together and about the centre of gravity of the vibrating screen. Gearless exciter with significantly improved lubrication system upper bearings when the exciter operates in inclined position (standard operating position is at 45 degrees) will provide reliable oil sump lubrication for all bearings and therefore better bearing life and improved reliability. Another factor is that it does not have gears which when wearing during impact condition, contaminate the oil with metal particles and increase the oil temperature which leads to oil degradation. xx \ \-NN R' na eier. Description
1 VIBFEM Gearless Exciter BACKGROUND OF INVENTION [0001] The invention present new design of exciters to drive vibrating equipment. [0002] Currently most of exciters have single internal chamber and upper bearing when exciter operates inclined are splash lubricated - it is very unreliable and no lubrication is available to the upper bearing for some time after exciter start. The major problem is with external races of double row upper bearings. [0003] Rotating counterweights will selfsynchronise about each other and about the centre of gravity. Centre of gravity moves on the working vibrating screen and because of the rigid coupling which are gears in this instance the is extra power required to run it, heat generated from the gears preventing counterweights from synchronisation with centre of gravity. Increased oil temperature, metal debris and unreliable lubrication are causing premature bearing failures which is causing costly failures in mining industry.
