Abstract
A vehicle train (1) serves for transporting rails (2) and to deposit them on a track (6), wherein the rails are mounted on a loading platform (8) of a first vehicle (3) having a load crane (9), and the rails are deposited on a coupled second vehicle (4). Each vehicle (3, 4) is assigned a load carrier (11, 12) which serves as an upper boundary with respect to a vertical, is positioned centrally with respect to a lateral direction of the vehicle, runs in a longitudinal direction (10) of the vehicle and has first and second carrier ends (16, 17) with respect to said longitudinal direction (10). A crane rail (19) which runs in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and has the purpose of displacing the load crane (9) is provided on each load carrier, wherein a crane rail bridge (20) for connecting the two crane rails (19) is arranged between the two adjoining load carriers (11, 12). The crane rail bridge (20) is of variable design with respect to a bridge length (21) which runs in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The load carrier (11) of the first vehicle (3) is respectively connected at the first and second carrier ends (16, 17) to the vehicle frame (13) by a frame carrier (18), wherein the two frame carriers (18) are spaced apart from one another at a distance (a) which corresponds at least to a length (b) of the rails (2) which are to be transported.
Description
1/7 A vehicle combination for transporting rails [01] The invention relates to a vehicle combination for transporting rails and laying the same upon a track, wherein the rails are stored on a loading platform of a first vehicle having a load crane, and the rail laying is carried out on a second vehicle coupled to the former. [02] According to EP 0 721 026 B1, a vehicle combination of this type is already known in which the first vehicle is designed as a flat wagon while the second vehicle has an upwardly recessed frame under which there is a work area open towards the track. A gantry crane is mobile on running rails along both vehicles in order to transport materials such as rails, for example, from the loading platform to the work area and lay them down there. [03] AT 009 393 U1 describes a track maintenance construction train, consisting of vehicles coupled to one another, which has lifting devices for transporting cargo, the lifting devices being designed for displacement in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle between a loading space on one vehicle and a work space provided on the other vehicle.
2/7 [04] It is the object of the present invention to create a vehicle combination of the type mentioned at the beginning which, in an advantageous manner, enables working operations to be carried out in manifold ways. [05] According to the invention, this object is achieved with a vehicle combination of the specified kind by means of the features cited in the characterising part of claim 1. [06] A design of this manner enables an unobstructed mobility of the load crane, together with the rail to be unloaded, along practically the entire length of the vehicle combination, i.e. even on track construction sites which are located in a track curve or in which a track superelevation exists. [07] Additional advantages of the invention become apparent from the dependent claims and the drawing description. [08] The invention will be described in more detail below with reference to an embodiment represented in the drawing in which [09] Fig. 1 is a side view - shown in two parts due to space restrictions - of a vehicle combination designed according to the invention, and Fig. 2 shows a cross-section of the vehicles.
3/7 [10] A vehicle combination 1, visible in Figs. 1 and 2, for transporting rails 2 consists of a first vehicle 3 and, coupled to the same, a second vehicle 4 which are mobile together via on-track undercarriages 5 on a track 6 and have work cabins 7 arranged at each end. Provided on a vehicle frame 13 of the first vehicle 3 is a loading platform 8 on which the rails 2 (or also other work materials) are stored during transport, which then are laid down in the track 6 in the region of the second vehicle 4 with the aid of a load crane 9 to be described in more detail below. [11] Associated with each of the vehicles 3, 4 is a beam-shaped load carrier 11, 12, extending in a longitudinal direction 10 of the vehicle, which serves as an upper boundary of the vehicle - with regard to a vertical and is positioned centrally with regard to a transverse direction 15 of the vehicle (Fig. 2). Each load carrier 11, 12 has a first and second carrier end 16, 17 and is connected at said ends, respectively, by means of a frame carrier 18 to the vehicle frame 13 or 14 of the vehicles 3, 4. In this, the two frame carriers 18 of the first vehicle 3 are spaced from one another at a distance (a) which is configured to correspond to at least a length (b) of the rail 2 to be transported. [12] Additionally arranged on each load carrier 11 and 12 are crane rails 19 which extend in the longitudinal direction 10 of the vehicle and are provided for the longitudinally displaceable support of the load crane 9.
4/7 Located in the region between the two adjoining load carriers 11 and 12 of the two vehicles 3 and 4 is a crane rail bridge 20 which serves for articulatedly connecting the crane rails 19 of the load carriers 11 and 12 and which is further designed to be changeable with regard to a bridge length 21 extending in the longitudinal direction 10 of the vehicle. Thus, the unobstructed displaceability of the load crane 9 along the vehicle combination 1 is guaranteed even when working in a track curve. [13] As can be seen in Fig. 2, the load crane 9 has the shape of trolleys 22 which are fastened to a crane beam 23, extending in the transverse direction 15 of the vehicle, and are displaceable relative to the same in a transverse track 24. The crane beam 23, in turn, is designed for displacement in the longitudinal direction 10 of the vehicle along the crane rails 19 by means of track rollers 27 and additionally has an auxiliary rail 25 which is displaceable relative to the crane beam 23 in the transverse direction 15 of the vehicle and serves for elongating the transverse track 24. [14] As also shown in Fig. 2, the load carrier 12 of the second vehicle 4 is connected to two vehicle side walls 26 which are adjustable relative to the load carrier 12 as well as relative to one another in the transverse direction 15 of the vehicle. Thus (as shown on the left-hand side in Fig. 2), when the side wall 26 is extended and the transverse track 24 is 5/7 simultaneously extended, the corresponding trolley 22 can be moved further out in order to be able, for example, to deposit the load far enough outward even when working in a super-elevated track. The two side walls 26 delimit a work space 28 in which working personnel may be present for receiving a rail 2 brought on by the load crane 9 and for installing the same in the track 6. Thus, an interference-free rail transport and optimal safety for the working personnel is ensured even when an adjacent track is in operation. [15] In the region of the two adjoining carrier ends 16, 17 of the two load carriers 11 and 12, the associated frame carriers 18 for connection to the vehicle frames 13 or 14 are arranged spaced far enough from one another in the transverse direction 15 of the vehicle so that the crane beam 23 can pass without problems through the portal thus formed.
