Description

00 Description 0 This application covers the Hail Seizor (Registered Trademark) self-inflate selfattaching impact protection blanket for use on motor vehicles of all description and Osize, recreation vehicles, or anything that could be damaged during inclement weather that may include hail or other falling objects or precipitation or during normal weather when items may fall or be projected at an item that will require protection from impact.
o The impact blanket is a dual surface product with PVC flock on the underside and 00 standard PVC sheet on the upper-side sandwiching a 4cm to 5cm sheet of high-impact o high density foam held in place when the top and bottom sheets are welded together with heat platens.
The platens pattern is such that it allows folding of the impact blanket in 600-700 millimeter squares for easy storage and deployment. The blanket is designed for easy and rapid deployment and uses a system of high grade magnets sealed inside the blanket in strategic locations to enable immediate and complete adherence to the metal surface of the protected item.
The blanket has a minimum of two air intake points that will allow the compressed blanket to inflate to a size between 3.8cm and 5cm thick. This self inflation is achieved by compression and evacuating all air from the blanket at the completion of manufacture and the sealing of the air intake points with an easy screw cover.
When the inflate points are opened on the compressed blanket the high-density foam internal-fill seeks to resume it original shape and sucks air in to the blanket and assumes it original height and protection level.
The blanket comes in a number of sizes to suit various vehicle sizes being 1.8 meters x 1.8 meters, 1.8 meters x 2.4 meters and 1.8 meters by 3.0 meters. The short sides of the blankets have a velcro strap that can be used to join the blankets together to achieve a great surface area coverage.
The package that contains the blankets parts also includes a set of straps that can be used in the event of very very high winds and in the event that the protected item has non iron metalic surfaces. Also included are a number of flock covered disks that can be used inside windscreens and rubber surfaces to assist the magnets in holding the blanket in place.
