Description

WO 2008/072039 PCT/IB2007/002267 DESCRIPTION of the industrial invention bearing the title "Tetra-component additive for the octaning and oxygenating reformulation of ecological petrol for motor-traction." The use of various additive essences in the petrol for motor-traction in order to improve some characteristics or specific properties is very large, achieving often satisfactory results. The remarkable benefits can arise with selective advantage on the cleansing properties or on the antiknock ability, on the temporal stability, on the variation of the steam tension. The subject of this invention aims to the reformulation of petrol through the proportional additivity between 5% and 15% in volume of a complex composed by four components that, operating in synergy between them, accomplish at the same time the double function of octaning and oxygenating. Meantime we jointly obtain the large increase of the specific power and the improvement of the ecological qualities with a low industrial production cost of the used product. The chemical oxygen, that is inside the molecules of the components of the additivity reformulating complex, shows an higher reactivity that the gaseous oxygen that is inside the suction air of the engine. The greater diffusion and the speed increase of the flame front inside the combustion chamber due to the oxygen release by the breaking of the chemical bonds, aid to increase the thermodynamics yield of the engine pulling down the formation of unburned. The very branched configuration of the molecules that compose the reformulating complex (see Table nbr. 1) gives to the fuel exceptional antiknocking capacity (Octane Number higher than 100), that means remarkable increase of the specific power in the range of 10%-20% above all in the engine low rating rotation. The said tetra-component complex for its essential octaning and oxygenating 1 WO 2008/072039 PCT/IB2007/002267 endowment, allows a smaller presence of aromatic compounds in the basic petrol and when the complex is added to petrol with long linear chains, for instance the ones of asphalt origin coming out from the oils from Mexico and Venezuela, it increase in a great way the quality level making it superior to the one coming from Middle East. Therefore the reformulating complex has a peculiar importance either in the political-commercial-industrial side or the ecological one. From the ecological point of view besides the direct benefits on the better performances and the consequent reductions of the harmful emissions, it combines the indirect utilization of the bio-ethanol (from which the ethyl ether is extracted) and the recycling of the carbon dioxide, coming out from the storage within the power stations, as raw materials for the production of the DiEthylCarbonate (DEC), that it is the major component of the reformulating complex. The DEC obtained by direct catalytic synthesis between CO 2 and ethyl ether, is within the class of the products of fossil origin, because it is obtained from renewable source. From the industrial point of view the reformulating complex composed in the minor components by DilsoPropylEther, branched hexane and trypthane (2,2,3 trimethylbutane) is important because such products are obtained from the cracking gases of refinery (ethylene, propylene, n. butane) by isomerisation, alkynation, polymerization partial reaction. The feed stocks of these refinery gases put in a aimed and planned production program significantly contribute to the total cheapness of the refinery. 2
