BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS In order that the present invention can be more readily understood and put 15 into practical effect, reference will now be made to the accompanying drawings wherein: Figure 1 is a diagrammatic view of the preferred embodiment of the framing member; Figure 2 is a diagrammatic view of the installation of a weather cover to a 20 framing member; Figure 3 is a diagrammatic plan view of a window fitted with the fly screen frame assembly using the framing member; and Figure 4 is a diagrammatic view of an alternative embodiment of the framing member. 25 -6 DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT With reference to Figure 1, there is shown a framing member 10 for use in forming a flyscreen frame assembly. The framing member 10 is an elongate aluminum extruded section and substantially rectangular in cross-section. The 5 framing member 10 includes a rectangular box section 11 with an L shaped flange 12 extending from the top narrow side 13 of the box section 11. The box section 11 provides the frame member 10 with strength and integrity. The L-shaped flange 12 and opposing portion 14 of the top narrow side 13 forms a first longitudinal recess 15 which opens adjacent a first wide side 16 of the 10 box section 11. The inside surface 17 of the recess 15 has several longitudinal ribs 18 for retaining a fly screen and fixing spline within the recess 15. There is also an I-shaped flange 20 extending upwards from the edge of the top narrow side 13. A second longitudinal recess 21 is formed by the L shaped flange and the I-shaped flange 20. The internal surface 22 of the I-shaped flange 20 15 has a longitudinal rib 23 for retaining an inserted accessory such as a weather cover within the second longitudinal recess 21. The framing member 10 can be extrusion, roll formed or produced by another suitable process where the member 10 can be made to any suitable desired length. With reference to figure 2, there is a weather cover 25 being inserted into 20 frame member 10. The weather cover 25 has a flange 26 insertable within the second longitudinal recess 21. The weather cover 25 is maintained in position within the recess 21 by a resiliently deformable protrusion 27 on the weather cover 25. The weather cover 25 is substantially prevented from withdrawal by the abutting of the protrusion 27 against rib 23. In other embodiments, the weather cover is fastened by 25 rivets or screws or fixed by gluing within the recess in the framing member.
-7 The position and orientation of the first longitudinal recess 15 and second longitudinal recess 21 allows a flyscreen and weather cover respectively to be inserted in operational positions without interference from the other component. Each component can be installed independently. The independent installation of the 5 flyscreen and the weather over, allows a weather cover to be retro-fitted to existing flyscreen frames with the frame member 10. Figures 3 shows the installed flyscreen frame 30 having assembled frame members 10, flyscreen 31 and a weather cover 25. The installed flyscreen frame 30 is fitted within a three channel window framing 32 that surrounds the window 10 opening. The outer channel 33 provides a recess for fitting the flyscreen frame 30, while the middle channel 34 and inner channel 35 support the fixed window 36 and sliding window 37 respectively. The flyscreen 31 is held in place within the first longitudinal recess 15 by a compressible spline 39. Figure 4 shows an alternative embodiment of the framing member 40. The 15 framing member 40 is able to fit a flyscreen mesh, security grill and a weather cover. The framing member 40 is an elongate substantially rectangular section having a first elongate recess 41 opening along the wide side 42 of the elongate section. The first elongate recess 41 has at least one but preferably two longitudinal ribs for abutting a flyscreen spline and holding the flyscreen mesh in position. The framing 20 member 40 also has a second recess 43 and a third recess 44 for fitting the weather cover and the security grill respectively. Both the second and third recesses 43,44 open along the narrow side 45 of the framing member 40. The second and third recesses 43,44 are adjacent each other and separated by a common wall 46. The second recess 43 also has an elongate rib 47 for retaining the weather cover in position. The framing member 40 is of substantially constant cross section and may be of any desired length. ADVANTAGES 5 The preferred embodiment provides an advantage that the assembled flyscreen frame allows installation of an accessory such as a weather cover to the outer side of the flyscreen. With the preferred embodiment of the assembled flyscreen, an accessory such as a weather cover can be retro fitted to existing flyscreen frames that have the preferred framing member. 10 VARIATIONS It will of course be realised that while the foregoing has been given by way of illustrative example of this invention, all such and other modifications and variations thereto as would be apparent to persons skilled in the art are deemed to fall within 15 the broad scope and ambit of this invention as is herein set forth. Throughout the description and claims this specification the word "comprise" and variations of that word such as "comprises" and "comprising", are not intended to exclude other additives, components, integers or steps,
