Abstract
The invention relates to an impervious connecting device which is intended, in particular, for the engine air inlet system of a motor vehicle and to be disposed between a flexible tube (T) and a rigid end piece (E). The inventive device consists of at least one inner insert (5) and an outer bush (3), said parts having an end part of the tube (T) trapped therebetween by means of compression, and a member (7) for locking/unlocking the end piece (E). The invention is characterised in that the profile of the aforementioned insert (5) is designed to perform at least one sealing function with the tube (T), one sealing function with the end piece (E) and one tensile strength function in relation to the tube (T), said three functions being performed simultaneously but independently of one another.
