Abstract

Device for holding an article on an object, especially a wall, comprises a fixing rod (1) for holding the article on one end, and a fixing element (2) for fixing the fixing rod in a bore in the object and having an elongated element body with an axial hollow chamber for receiving the fixing rod. The element body is expanded in the radial direction to clamp the fixing element in the bore. The fixing rod has in at least one section a cross-section which is wider in a first radial direction than in a second radial direction so that expansion of the element body can occur with less than one full rotation of the fixing rod. <??>Independent claims are also included for the above fixing rod, for the above fixing element, and for a process for the fixing of the above device. Preferred Features: A covering cap slides onto the fixing rod to seal off the bore from dirt.
