A mid-sole for waterproof and breathable soles for shoes, which includes a waterproof and breathable membrane and at least one lower layer made of breathable elongation-preventing composite material, which is monolithically coupled to the peripheral region of the membrane and, in the corresponding region, to the tread of the sole.
