Abstract

Method for reducing back trap mottle of coated paper, comprising adjusting the absorbency of the coated paper surface combined with adjusting the adhesion between the coated paper surface and the ink. Use of polar additives in coated paper for increasing the polar fraction of the surface energy and paper with a reduced sensitivity for back trap mottle.
