Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for preparing 5-amino-N-phenyl-1,2,4-triazole-3-sulfonamides of the formula (I)whereX is halogen, cyano or nitro,R is hydrogen or optionally halogen-substituted C1-C4-alkyl, andn is 1 or 2,by reacting 5-amino-3-chlorosulfonyl-1,2,4-triazole of the formula (II)with substituted anilines of the formula (III)where X, n and R are as defined for formula (I), in the absence of a solvent.
