Abstract

The present invention provides a cutting tool assembly (10) having a tool shank (12) with an elongated hole (28) extending axially through the tool shank (12). An elongated support bar (18) having threaded bore (38) at its forward end (34) is retained in the elongated hole (28). A cutting head (20) having a forward cutting portion (44) and a rear threaded portion (48) is retained in the support bar (18) with its rear threaded portion (48) threadingly engaged with the threaded bore (38) in the forward end (34) of the support bar (18).
