Abstract

The bottle closure described includes a cap (6) with a tear-off warranty strip (46) and release tab (58). In order to make the closure easier to handle and the warranty strip more secure, the release tab (58) consists of a sector of the cap which is separated from the rest of the cap (38) by a gap (60). A tear strip (62) holds the release tab (58) on to the rest of the cap (38).
