Abstract
The invention relates to a branching device for connecting at least one branch cable with at least one branch cable core to at least one main cable with at least one main cable core. Said device has a junction box with a first contact means in the form of, for example, insulation displacement connections which electrically contact at least one main cable core. Said device has a plug housing with a second contact means in the form of, for example, contact studs which electrically contact at least one branch cable core. The insulation displacement connections and contact studs are electrically connected.
