Abstract

A partition wall exists in which a window or door opening (1) is limited, with the formation of corner regions, at each side by an upright section (2) and at the top by a lintel section (3), the lintel section (3) being arranged on the upright sections (2) and having a U-shaped cross-section, and the upright and lintel sections (2, 3) being covered by wall panels (11) at least on one side, the opening (1) being left open, and are fixedly connected by fixing pins (10). In this arrangement it is desirable to reduce the risk of the occurrence of wall-panel cracks propagating from the corner regions of the opening.
