Abstract
Heart valve prosthesis coated prior to implantation by agitation within a cell culture container rotated simultaneously through two axes at right angles to each other, minimizing probability of rejection. A process coats the surface of a prosthesis with living cells prior to medical implantation. The cells are held in a nutritional physiological fluid within a closed container holding the prosthesis in a fixed position. The container with contents is then agitated by rotation through two planes at approx. right angles to each other. The rotation may be continuous or intermittent, or a combination of both, in the two planes. The rotation in each plane may be of uniform or different duration.
