Abstract

The pump is used to deliver liquid fuel from a storage tank (1) via a dispensing hose (2a) with a dispensing pistol (5) at its free end, incorporating a metering device (6) with a pulse source (10) providing metering pulses representing the dispensed fuel quantity. The dispensing pistol has a suction aperture for extracting the air and fuel vapour mixture from the filled fuel tank, coupled to a return line (7) containing a suction pump (8). The pulse source is coupled to a processor (11), converting the pulses into measuring data, controlling a pump display indicating the quantity of fuel and the corresponding charge and simultaneously controlling the suction provided by the suction pump. <IMAGE>
