  Brandring zum Schutze der Bördelenden von Siederohren. 



   Bei den an sich bekannten, aus feuerfestem Materiale bestehenden Brandringen, welche die Bördelflanschen der Siederohre umfassen, hat es sich gezeigt, dass man das Ansetzen von Flugasche durch Glasieren der Brandringe wohl verringern, jedoch nicht zur Gänze behindern kann, weil die die Bördelenden umfassenden Flanschen der Brandringe senkrecht zur Zugrichtung liegende Flächenelemente aufweisen, an welche die angeschleuderte Flugasche nicht abgleiten kann, sondern fest angedrückt wird, und Stützpunkte für weitere Ascheteilchen bilden, die sich sodann auch an den zur Zugrichtung geneigten Flächenelementen festsetzen können. 



   Um das Auftreten dieser Erscheinung zu verhüten, werden die Brandringflanschen derart geformt, dass deren Querschnitte in der Richtung gegen den Zug sich bis zur Bildung einer   Ringschneide   verjüngen ; infolge dieser Formung liegt kein Flächenelement der Flanschen senkrecht zur Zugrichtung und es können daher alle gegen die Flanschenflächen geschleuderten Flugaschenteilchen an denselben abgleiten und durch den Zug abgeführt werden. 



   In der Zeichnung ist ein im Sinne der Neuerung hergestellter, an der Mündung eines Siederohres angeordneter Brandring im Querschnitte dargestellt. Wie aus der Zeichnung ersichtlich, ist die Flansche h des Brandringes   n   derart geformt, dass ihm Querschnitte in der Richtung gegen den Zug sich bis zur Bildung einer Ringschneide z stetig verjüngen.
