   Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verbesserung der zur Wärmeausnutzung von Öfen dienenden Rauchkasten mit abwechselnd von der einen oder der andern schmalen Längsseitenwand in den Innenraum rangenden, den Rauch im Zickzackweg durch den Rauchkasten leitenden schrägen Platten, welche den Zweck haben, dadurch eine bessere   Wärmeausnutzung zu bewirken ;

   dass an diesen   Platten durch Spaltung der freien Enden derselben und Abwärtsbiegung der Spalteeken Zungen ausgebildet sind. welche den Rauch gegen die Breitseiten des   Kastens   dringen.
