Von dem Luftzuführungsrohr zweigt ein mit Absperrhahn 8 versehenes und über dem Einsatz l'ion den Cylinder a mündendes Rohr 7 ab, um den Luftgehalt des Gases in bekannter Weise genau regulieren zu können.
Die Benützung eines Gemisches von Benzin und Petroleum, sowie die Anwendung von aufsaugendom Material zwischen zwei parallelen Lagen von Drahtnetzen bei der Luftgasherstellung ist bereits bekannt (englische Patentschrift Nr. 2060 vom Jahre 1899.)
Soll der Apparat in Betrieb gesetzt werden, so wird der Cylinder so hoch mit der Flüssigkeit gefüllt, dass dieselbe auch in die oberste Saugmaterialschichte steigt, worauf Luft zugeführt und das entstandene Gas abgeleitet. bezw. verwendet wird.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Verfahren zur Erzeugung von an Kohlenwasserstoffen armem Luftgas aus einem Gemisch von Petroleum und Benzin, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Gemisch von einem Gewichtstheil Petroleum und drei Gewichtstheilen Benzin mit einer Luftmenge vergast wird, die ungefähr dreimal so gross ist als die zur Verbrennung nöthige theoretische
Luftmenge, wobei eventuell zu dem an Kohlenwasserstoffen reicheren Luftgase zur Er- reichung dieses Verhältnisses zwischen Luft und Kohlenwasserstoffen in bekannter Weise noch überschüssige Luft hinzugefügt werden kann, zum Zwecke, ein Luftgas zu erzeugen. welches angezündet nur zeitweilig aufflammt, welches aber, gegen heisse poröse Flächen (Glühkörpel') geleitet, an denselben mit intensiver örtlicher Hitze verbrennt.
