Die bisher bekannt gewordenen Gaslampen haben den Nachteil, dass das Leuchtrohr samt seinen Zubehörteilen eine derart unkompendiöse Ausgestaltung besitzt, dass die Lampen schwer oder gar nicht für die Montierung in den üblichen Beleuchtungskörpern geeignet sind. Dies war insbesondere auf die bei solchen Lampen erforderliche Länge der Leuchtröhre zurück- zuführen.
