Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

    Mehrstufige Entlastungsvorrichtung für Dampf- und Gasturbinen, bei welchen durch den

    Multi-stage relief device for steam and gas turbines, in which the
Thrust of the Tralbmittela axial forces occur.

     The invention relates to a venting device for steam or GM turbines with stepped pistons.

   It is known to produce such a device from a stepped piston, of which each step relieves the axial thrust of the corresponding drum part and its blades resulting from the propellant. That relief piston, which seals against vacuum, relieves the low pressure part and is therefore given a larger diameter. However, this has various disadvantages.

   Above all, a large sealing diameter is structurally uncomfortable and can impair operational safety. It also gives rise to large steam losses, which are particularly important because the gradient to be sealed is usually large and because the steam that escapes does not come through again the first piston escapes into the blades but directly into the exhaust steam chamber.

   The invention now provides for such a gradation of the relief device that the piston sealing against vacuum has the smallest diameter. For this purpose, the other sealing piston or, if there are several sealing pistons, at least one of these is dimensioned in such a way that it generates predominant thrust in the opposite direction to the steam thrust of the overpressure blade and the shaft.

   The two pistons d and c can be dimensioned in such a way that there is complete relief, which remains with a uniform change in the inlet and outlet pressure of the turbine.

   In the embodiment of the subject matter of the invention shown in FIG. 2, the seal seated on the small diameter is moved into the exhaust steam space. The pipeline f of FIG. 1 is not required since the connection between the sealing pistons d and e on the one hand and the annular space between the overpressure parts 1J and c on the other hand can be established through the openings t of the drum.
