EMI1.1

EMI1.1
The present invention represents a rivetless sheet pile wall in which the greatest possible moment of resistance is achieved with the least amount of material.
The invention is illustrated in the drawing. The individual profiles a, the legs of which are at any obtuse angle to one another, depending on the desired moment of resistance, have a bead b or an eye c at the leg ends.
When the wall is assembled, the bead b of one profile being pushed into the eye c of the other, a wave shape results which, as is known, has the greatest rigidity.
This sheet pile wall has the following main advantages: 1. The composite wall is unlimited in the height of the section modulus to be achieved. 2. The wall shows the maximum possible utilization of the material. The parts that serve to cover the joints can also be used for the flexural resistance. 3. By arranging the joints at the greatest possible distance from the neutral axis, a closed cross-section is actually achieved. 4. Any riveting is avoided. This prevents individual structural parts from splitting off and significantly reduces the risk of rust. 5. The closure of the pebbles with one another is very simple and quite reliable.
