Verfahren zur Herstellung für beliebige Verwendungszwecke brauchbarer plastischer Massen.
Um Harze mit Füll- und Vulkanisierungsmitteln zu homogenen Massen zu vereinigen, waren bislang nur mehr oder weniger umständliche und kostspielige Verfahren bekannt. die besondere Vorrichtungen oder eine besondere umständliche Bearbeitung der Einzelbestandteile beanspruchten.
Durch das Verfahren nach vorliegender Erfindung wird es auf eine einfache Weise

oder dgl., gelöst sind, mit Füll- und Vulkanisierungsmitteln zu durchaus homogenen Massen zu vereinigen. Es geschieht dies gemäss der Erfindung durch Verschmelzen der erwähnten Einzelbestandteile mit Natronsilikat oder dgl. bei Gegenwart von Kalziumoder Magnesiumverbindungen. Am zweckmässigsten verwendet man Kalk. der an der Luft zerfallen ist.
Das Verfahren nach vorliegender Erfindung sei an folgendem Beispiel erläutert :
1000 Asphalt unter Erwärmen in 600 bis 900g Petroleum gelöst und in die Lösung 300 g Kalk, 120 g Schwefelblei oder 120 g Schwefelantimon unter Erwärmen auf- geschlemmt, die Mischung wird sodann mit 80 g Natriumsilikat innig vermischt und aufgekocht. Vorher kann man je nach dem Grade der gewünschten Geschmeidigkeit der plastischen Massen Füllmittel, wie z. B. Talkum, Schwerspat. Quarzmehl und dgl., Elaterit, Öle, Toerfarben, Erhärtungsmittel und dgl., je nach dem Verwendungszweck zusetzen.
Gegebenenfalls empfiehlt es sich, der Mass auch noch Holzmehl, Korlolleh1, Papiermasse oder dgl. zuzusetzen. Die Masse kann zu Kautschuk-, Guttspercha- oder Lederersatz zu Linolenm, Fussboden- und Dachbelag usw. verarbeitet werden. Nach Zusatz geeigneter Ver- dünnungsmittel kann die Masse auch zum Imprägnieren von Holz, Pappe oder dgl. verwendet werden.
