Verfahren zum Haltbarmachen von Waaserstoffsuperoxydlösungen.
In der deutschen Patentschrift Nr. 203019 ist ein Verfahren zum Haltbarmachen von Wasserstoffsuperoxydlösungen beschrieben, welches darin besteht, dass man diesen Lösungen ein saures Konservierungsmittel, das weder ätzend noch giftig ist, nämlich die Harnsäure, zusetzt. Dieses Verfahren unterscheidet sich somit in charakteristischer Weise von demjenigen des deutschen Patentes Nr. 174190, nach welchem neutral reagierende Konservierungsmittel verwendet werden, die jedoch weniger energisch wie saure Mittel wirken.
Für viele Fälle hat sich der Ersatz der Harnsäure durch ein leichter lösliches Konservierungsmittel als zweckmässig erwiesen und die angestt'ilten Untersuchungen haben ergeben, dass in solchen Fällen die Barbitursäure mit Erfolg angewendet werden kann.

In the German patent specification No. 203019, a method for making hydrogen peroxide solutions durable is described, which consists in adding an acidic preservative which is neither corrosive nor toxic, namely uric acid, to these solutions. This process thus differs in a characteristic way from that of German patent no. 174190, according to which preservatives with a neutral reaction are used, but which act less energetically than acidic agents.
In many cases the replacement of uric acid by a more easily soluble preservative has proven to be expedient, and the investigations carried out have shown that in such cases barbituric acid can be used with success.
